Last week I talked about how Chile’s growing economy is creating “national champion brands” who are setting their sights on international expansion. Celfin Capital is one of those brands and we’d like to welcome this emerging financial services powerhouse to the ranks of blue-chip advertisers with LAN Airlines’ media (managed by Spafax).

Celfin is one of the most innovative, successful and creative investment firms in the region and they truly take care of their customers – having recently brought Itzak Perleman and the Prague Philarmonic to Santiago for an intimate client concert. Talk about customer appreciation!

LAN media was a perfect fit for their message and their brand. They’re investing in a cross-platform multimedia campaign including print and TV ads to communicate their expansion to the “home market” but also to acquire new clients from abroad.

With this campaign – and many others just like it – our still new Director of Sales Deborah Mogelberg is setting out to prove that “revenue generation” is one of the most creative areas of the company.

A New Magazine for the International Oenophile Launches on LAN Airlines

Paula Fontaine and our Santiago publishing team have outdone themselves with in-Wines, the only magazine about the South American “wine lifestyle”. It’s distributed exclusively in Premium Business Class aboard LAN Airlines and is further testament to Chile and Argentina’s emergence as sophisticated producers of award winning wines. in-Wines also helps cement LAN’s position as the best carrier to, from and within South America.

The first edition of in-Wines includes essays by Chilean Master Sommelier Héctor Vergara, serving and pairing tips, a wine “tasting class”, wine reviews and several travel features including Chilean and Argentinian wine routes. Unexpected features like “Women of the Vine”, highlighting a new breed of oenologist, round out this very unique 3x yearly publication which we hope will be 6x yearly soon.

In-Wines builds upon the success of LAN’s in Magazine, also published by Spafax, which has won more international awards for editorial and graphic excellence than any other publication in South America.
