Now here’s something to crow about: enRoute’s January 2010 cover, featuring a live rooster (yes, he’s real), won the coveted award for Cover Photography at the recent Applied Arts Awards 2010. (The cover model has apparently appeared in tv commercials and ads and was a real pro on set, according to Photo Editor Myrabelle Charlebois and Assistant Art Director Tania Chiarotto, who watched him in action.) Montreal-based photographers Leda & St-Jacques captured the bird for our story, “Wake-Up Call,” on the best ways to rise and shine at hotels across Canada, from bathtubs to breakfasts.
